Recently we have had several members call to tell us about attempts being made to steal their personal information by fraudsters, specifically their credit card or debit card information. These members are reporting that they are getting a phone call informing them that their “card has been blocked”. Remember, the Credit Union (and any other legitimate organization) will never call and ask you to provide personal identifying information. Do not trust text messages, emails or direct telephone calls from persons unknown to you especially if they request personal information from you. Use telephone numbers from your institution’s website, literature or statements. NEVER call a telephone number provided by unknown persons. If you have given out your card number, please contact us immediately at at 753-4080 or 800-248-6361 to have your card blocked. Should you ever have any questions about these or other attempts to steal your personal information, feel free to call our Member Care Center at 753-4080 or 800-248-6361. For more information on protecting your personal information, visit our Security Central webpage. |
